LEAGUE

Like all Letterbox fonts, League came out of a need for something that did not previously exist. League emerged from a fascination with an early Dan X Solo typeface Gem combined with the graphic strength of Eric Olsen's Maple Black. Taking some influence from both these two faces, League was created.

The Black Italic offered a way of creating some tonal difference and context to use some of the more lyrical and expressive letterforms.
